GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Public Library is hosting a photography exhibit called “The Towns of Franklin County” through Nov. 30.
The exhibit features pictures from each of the 26 municipalities in Franklin County. The images, illustrating the communities’ history, culture, public spaces and natural beauty, are provided by 26 members of the Springfield Photographic Society.
According to the Greenfield Public Library, each photographer chose one perspective that was important to understanding their town. Photographers with a passion for nature found the natural beauty in their assignment, while others wanted to feature historical sites or local businesses.
“The Towns of Franklin County” is the final installment of a long-term project undertaken by the Springfield Photographic Society to capture images from all 102 municipalities in the four counties of western Massachusetts.
