Authorities investigating body found near Millers River in Athol

ATHOL — State Police detectives assigned to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office are working with the Athol Police Department to investigate the unattended death of an Orange man.
The body of Ralph C. Cloukey, 45, of Royalston Road in Orange, was discovered at around 3 p.m. on Friday by passersby near a brook that runs under Harugari Street and feeds into the Millers River, according to Laurie Loisel, communication and outreach director with the DA’s office.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
