Bulletin Board: Freedom Credit Union knocks off Fitzgerald in GMLB action

Ben Koppenheffer and Eli Koppenheffer each had three hits while Noah Marguet pitched in Freedom Credit Union’s 15-8 win over Fitzgerald Real Estate on Thursday in a GMLB contest. 

Jacolby Dyer had four hits while Lucas Walker tallied two hits for Fitzgerald. 

New Fortune 18, Lungdren Honda 9 — Darick Chaisson had three hits, Rylan McIver knocked two singles and a double while Cam Santerre doubled in New Fortune’s win Wednesday. 

Ben Trombley had three hits including a triple, Damien Shields had two hits and Quinn Gibbons had a hit for Lundgren. 

Gagne Wealth 9, Baker Financial 6 — Blake White and Mason Lovett each had three hits while Parker Smith-LaClair and Xavior McCarthy both tallied two hits in Gagne’s triumph Wednesday. 

Crosy Cairney had three hits, Duncan Cairney knocked two hits while Asher Tripp hit safely for Baker.

Thomas Women’s League

Maggie Valentine shot the low gross of 48 while MaryEllen Fydenkevez, Christine Graves and Bonnie Rae tied for the low net of 32 in a 3 Club and a Putter contest on Wednesday in the Thomas Women’s League at Thomas Memorial Wednesday.

Andy Sena and Curt White (31) shot the low gross while Ed Underwood and Rick Stempel shot the low net (26) in the Timmons-Messer League at Northfield Golf Club Wednesday. 

Andy Harrison and Doug Field took second in gross (37) while Jeff Holmes and Bruce Keppel placed second in net (28). White won closest to the pin on No. 6 (22-3) while Bob Perlman won on No. 7 (7-4). White was the match medalist (34).

Shelburne Bowling Alley

Chris Langford rolled the high single (99) while Mary Philstetler had the high triple (249) in the Tuesday Mini League at the Shelburne Falls Bowling Alley this past week.

Greenfield 31, Athol 7 —
The Green Wave earned a pair of wins on Wednesday and Thursday behind pitching from Samantha Suhl and Avery Cutting. 

Charlie Bishop struck out six while Madelyn Rock and Trinity Fellows had hits for Frontier while Sofia St. Andre, Chloe Mallette and Lacie Hermes hit safely for Athol. 

Tri-County

Northfield Cougars 11, West River 6 — Ryleigh Goodwin doubled, singled and drove in three runs, Emmalee Brinster singled and drove in two runs while Evy Lewis struck out three in the Cougars’ win Wednesday. 

Madeline Perkins struck out three and added two hits and an RBI at the plate for West River.
