Bulletin Board: Gilmore and Farrell knocks off Smitty’s in GMLB Major Division championship game (PHOTOS)

The Greenfield Minor League Baseball Major Division wrapped up its season on Tuesday at Lunt Field, with Gilmore and Farrell and Smitty’s Pub competing in the championship game.
Casey Burke and Theo D’Urso combined to allow just five hits for Gilmore, which won the championship with an 8-2 victory.
Jamie McCarthy and Michael Dixon each had two hits while D’Urso, Paul Budravich and Bryce Zraunig each hit safely in the win.
JJ Bones had two hits while Jacob Miller, Preston Charboneau and Ben Woodard each had a hit for Smitty’s.
New Fortune 13, Bobby C’s 3 — Darick Chaisson and Rylan McIver each singled and doubled while Collin Winslow and Jason Philstetler tripled to lift New Fortune to the AAA finals with a win on Tuesday.
Mason Deome, Noah Stuffolano, Theo Shulte, Hunter Wilkins, Braith Brothers and Quincy Audet each hit safely for Bobby C’s.
Amateur Public Links

A number of locals played in the 2024 Massachusetts Amateur Public Links qualifier at Chicopee Country Club on Tuesday, with two locals advancing.

Northfield Golf Club’s Jeff Jackman shot a 5-over 76 to be named an alternate.
Crumpin-Fox’s Keith Burch (78), Brian Strzempek (79), Chris Stoddard (82), Tim Hubbard (88) and Ryan Heisler (94) did not make the cut.
Mass Amateur qualifier
A pair of locals competed in a second 2024 Massachusetts Amateur qualifier on Tuesday, playing at Stockbridge Golf Club.
Gunnar Moore, representing Country Club of Greenfield, shot a 4-over 74, missing the cut as an alternate by one stroke. Jesse Morgan of the Northfield Golf Club shot a 10-over 80.
CCG results
Casey Downie shot the low score of 31 in the 9 Hole Women’s League at Country Club of Greenfield on Tuesday.
Sarah Cook, Sue Luippold, Lisa Sullivan, Emily Jarvis and Annie Lasek tied for second (32).
■ In Kells Fundraiser Scramble at CCG on Tuesday the foursome of John Johnson, Susan O’Connor, Kevin Courtney and Donna Mowry tied with the foursome of William McDonald, Randall Bernard, Sue Sigda and Anne Corri net as well as the foursome of Roy Emerson, Barb Killeen, Ann McHugh and Doug Finck for first (65).
Goshen 8, Conway 5 — Fawn Mougin tripled, Whitney Roberts had a pair of hits, Ashley Tompkins had an RBI while Marjorie Rida tripled in a run in Goshen’s Pioneer Valley Women’s Softball League win Tuesday.
Nelly Wilkins had three hits while Elizabeth Unaitis singled and doubled in the loss.
DRIVE League
Men’s League action in the DRIVE League at Greenfield High School took place on Monday, with Brattleboro knocking off Bruso Computer Solutions, 80-46, behind 30 points from Greg Fitzgerald and 23 points from Gabe Pacard.
Martin Cahillane tallied 15 points while Luke Martin scored 11 points in the loss.
Next, Spencer Butterfield recorded 33 points while Andrew Ciaglo added 24 points in 413 Elite’s 87-83 overtime win over OSC-Manning. Roel Martinez put up 34 points while Chase Berg added 12 points in the loss.
To close out the night Markol Strong beat Rattigan and Sons, 74-68, behind 23 points from Mike Lowrey and 22 points from Jayden Dawson. Trevor Thomas scored 17 points while Ryan Roberts added 16 points in the loss.
