Bulletin Board: Sally Malloy places first in Thomas Women’s League

Sally Malloy shot a low gross of 41 to lead the way at the Thomas Memorial Women’s League on Wednesday in Turners Falls.
Amanda Larson carded the low net of 28 while Terry Sall won closest to the pin on No. 7 (4 feet, 7 inches).
Timmons-Messer League
Steve Lanciani and Ed Marvell won a match of cards over Jeff Seymour and Jeff Roberts to card the low gross of 35 in the Timmons-Messer League at Northfield Golf Club Wednesday.
Scott Powers and Rich Gorey shot the low net (24) while Paul Barnard and Bruce Kaeppel took second (26). In closest to the pin, Matt Deane won on No. 6 (10 feet, 11 inches) and Marty Powers won on No. 7 (1-4). Powers was the match medalist with a 35.
Montague Elks shoot
The Montague Elks Lodge 2521 will host a youth soccer shoot this Saturday, Aug. 24 at Franklin County Technical School in Turners Falls (82 Industrial Blvd.).
The event is open to boys and girls in two separate categories: ages 7 and under, and ages 8-15. Winners of each contest are eligible to advance to the next level of competition.
