Bulletin board: Franklin First goes on hit parade in GGSL victory

Elise LaPrade, Danielle Zraunig, Grace Hickey and Ellie Martin each had three hits while Grayson Baker knocked two hits as Franklin First Credit Union earned a 5-4 win over Pristine Orientals in a Greenfield Girls Softball League game on Thursday at Murphy Park. 

Morgan Beckwith tallied two hits, Zoey Lively had a hit while Savannah Thomas and Makenna Ward pitched for Pristine. 

Golf

Thomas Women’s League

Robin Hartnett shot the low gross of 47 while Terry Adams and Amanda Hickey tied for the low net of 28 in the Thomas Women’s League at Thomas Memorial on Wednesday. 

Elaine Barnard won closest to the pin on No. 7 (10 feet, 1 inch). 

Timmons-Messer

The pairings of Jeff Seymour and Marty Powers (33) and Tom Almstead and Paul Barnard (35) carded the low gross scores in the Timmons-Messer League at Northfield Golf Club on Wednesday. 

Don Scott and Don Churchill won a match of cards over Ronnie Parker and Rick Stempel to finish with the low net (26). Ray Kendrick won closest to the pin on No. 6 (3-11) while Almstead won on No. 7 (4-4.5). Seymour was the match medalist with a 33.

St. Stan’s 13, Montague Elks Club 8 — Emmanuel Quezada hit a grand slam, a double and drove in five runs, Malcolm Tyler singled, tripled and drove in three while Carter Flagg and Max Myers combined for 11 strikeouts in St. Stan’s win on Wednesday. 

Tyler Varilly knocked three hits while Liam Fox stole six bases for Elks Club. 

GMLB

Pioneer Valley Tire 8, Bobby C’s 5 — Brayden Parody hit a home run, Brantley Godfrey knocked three hits while Owen Castine knocked two hits in Pioneer Valley Tire’s win on Wednesday. 

Kyrie Petrizzi-Richmond had a hit while Mason Deome and Hunter Wilkins pitched for Bobby C’s.
