After a pair of dominant playoff victories, the Frontier boys soccer team will play for a summer title on Saturday.

The top-seeded Redhawks will meet No. 2 Chicopee in the Pioneer Valley Summer Soccer League High School Boys B Division final. The game is scheduled for 1:45 p.m. at Lusitano Stadium in Ludlow.

Frontier earned the top seed after a dominant regular season, then defeated eighth-seeded West Springfield 4-0 in the quarterfinals. In the semifinal round on Thursday, the Hawks blanked No. 5 Ludlow Ideal B by an identical 4-0 score to book a spot in the final.

In the Girls High School B Division playoffs, seventh-seeded Frontier was edged by No. 2 Southwick, 3-1, in the quarterfinal round earlier this week. Southwick and Easthampton will play in the B Division final at noon, right before the Frontier-Chicopee boys game.

Gary Stacy Memorial Outing

The team of Don Mailloux, Paul Barnard, Bob Betsold and Jeff Jackman teamed to shoot a 56 and snatch low gross honors at the Gary Stacy Memorial Outing at the Country Club of Greenfield on Friday.

Alison Miller, Jay Miller, Chris Quartarone and Dan Finn were second (57), followed by the team of Mike Duclos, John Dempsey, BJ Guerin and Mike Kuchieski (58).

In net scoring, Daniel Gavin, Casey Downie, Doug Muehlberg and Chris Ray led the pack (50). Three teams tied for second with 51s.
