Bulletin board: Greenfield Tennis Cup this Saturday at the Beacon Courts

The Greenfield Tennis Cup, which has been postponed multiple times due to weather, is now scheduled for this Saturday, July 20, at 9:30 a.m. at the Beacon Clay Courts in Greenfield.
The tournament has separate men’s and women’s divisions and is open to all ages high school and above. It is a round robin tournament and tennis balls will be provided. The deadline to register is July 19 at 6 p.m. To register, call Rick Miner at 413-824-1695.
Liberty Tax Sharks 14, Montague Elks 13 — Mike Cole hit a sacrifice fly to drive Matt Cole, who had tripled, in for the game-winning run to lead the Sharks to a victory in a Greenfield Co-ed Adult Softball League contest on Tuesday.
It was the first win for Liberty Tax against the Elks since 2015, breaking an 11-game streak.
Storm Cindir tallied three hits, one a double, and drove in two, Elyse Merrill tallied two singles and a double while Cody Willor doubled, homered and drove in two in the victory.
Ricky Craver singled, doubled twice, homered and drove in five, Kyle Bergmann and Matt Zelinski each had three hits while John Dawicki doubled twice and drove in four for the Elks.
CCG Women’s League
Elaine Goodhind (20), Marley Balasco (22) and Diane Carme (22) recorded the low scores in the Patty Berg Flight in an Even Holes Through 10 contest in the 9 Hole Women’s League at Country Club of Greenfield Tuesday.

Brayleigh Burgh struck out 12 in the win. Kennedy Unaitis struck out two, Bella Bramucci singled to drive in two while Cailie Edwards knocked two hits for the Wolfpack.
