Bulletin Board: Gunnar Moore qualifies for match play in 2024 Massachusetts Junior Amateur Championship

The Country Club of Greenfield’s Gunnar Moore has qualified for match play at the 106th Massachusetts Junior Amateur Championship. 

After carding a 66 in his opening round at Bass River Golf Course in South Yarmouth on Monday, Moore fired a 1-under 71 on Tuesday, putting him in fifth place overall with a two-round score of 137. 

Moore qualified for a top 16 spot and a berth in the tournament’s match play. Tee sheets were not available at press time for Moore’s matchup on Wednesday’s match play. The Round of 16 and quarterfinals are scheduled for Wednesday. 

CCG Women’s League

Annie Lasek (40) and Ann McHugh (45) carded the low scores in a Back 9 contest in the 9 Hole Women’s League at Country Club of Greenfield Tuesday. 

Other top scorers by flight: Liz Archer (43) and Ellen Bitzer (43) in the Nancy Lopez Flight, Danica Hochstetler (51) and Sally Bernard (53) in the Lorena Ochoa Flight, Janet Andrews (55), Ann Lyman (56) and Kim French (56) in the Annika Sorenstam Flight and Julie Beres (54) and Bobbee Low (58) in the Michelle Wie Flight. 

• In a Nassau front/back/overall contest in the 18 Hole Women’s League at CCG on Tuesday, Nancy Robie finished with the low gross score of 88 in Flight One while Lane Kelly shot the low gross of 110 in Flight Two.

Susan O’Connor shot the low net of 38 in Flight One while Sally Bernard (36), Anne Echeverria (38) and Anne Corrinet (40) had the low net scores in Flight Two.
