Liam Kerivan and Spencer Towne combined for 14 strikeouts on the mound for Pipione’s Sport Shop, which held off Turners Falls Athletic Club for a 9-8 victory in Newt Guilbault Community Baseball League action on Wednesday in Turners Falls

Towne was 3-for-3 with two doubles and Kerivan was 2-for-2 with a walk-off inside-the-park home run.

Tyler Girard tossed four strong innings for TFAC, which racked up 18 stolen bases as a team.

Ron Lenois and John O’Riley tied for second place at plus-5. Closest to the pin winners were Ken Morin on No. 7 (2 feet, 7 inches) and Rod Herzig on No. 9 (17-8).

Dave Dion leads the league with a plus-11 quota through two weeks, while skins were won on Wednesday by Craig LeBlanc, Bob Walker, Ken Morin and Ned Nichols.
