Donations due Oct. 15 for Bobby C’s Thanksgiving meals fundraiser

For the eighth year in a row, local DJ and television personality Robert “Bobby C” Campbell is seeking donations to help feed hungry families on Thanksgiving.
This year, a donation of $80 — up from last year’s $65 due to increased food costs — will sponsor a family in need, providing a Thanksgiving dinner complete with a turkey, stuffing, potatoes, carrots, butternut squash, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce and apple pie.
Campbell said he is working with local supermarkets and needs to receive all donations by Oct. 15 so food orders can be guaranteed by distribution day on Nov. 17. Donors can sponsor as many families as they want.
Checks should be made out to Bobby Campbell at 303 Fairway Ave., Turners Falls, MA 01376 with “Needy Families T-Day Fundraiser 2023” written in the memo line.
Alternatively, donors can send cash or send money to Campbell’s Venmo at @bobbyCcampbell.
Campbell said he hopes this year’s fundraiser can provide 2,700 people with meals for the holiday, which would be on par with recent years, he said.
“As the founder of this event that started eight years ago with 50 people … 2,700 people is just amazing because of local business owners, community members and local civic organizations,” Campbell wrote in an email. “Without everyone’s participation, we could never feed this many community members.”
Donors can have their picture taken making their donation if they schedule a time to meet Campbell by calling him at 413-834-4222.
