GREENFIELD — Artspace Community Arts Center is gearing up to host its 44th annual Artspace Market fundraiser at Greenfield High School.
The event, which will be held on March 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature more than 25 vendors, live music and a Franklin Community Co-op-sponsored family activity booth.
The “main expansion” compared to past years comes from including art mediums beyond pottery, Torri said.
“Historically, it was a Pottery Seconds Sale, but we wanted to highlight all the arts and crafts in the community,” she said. “The sponsorship of the Franklin Community Co-op really helps a lot. [We’re] reaching a broader audience.”
A $5 donation at the door is suggested, in exchange for which attendees get a raffle ticket for a chance to win door prizes donated by participating artists. Torri said the money raised contributes to programming at Artspace, whether that’s through offering sliding-scale pay options or hiring new teachers.
“Really,” Torri said, the Artspace Market helps “to support our mission as a nonprofit to expand community access to arts, and of course, supports the artisans.”
