Football: Frontier beats Commerce, Greenfield falls to Ware

The Frontier football team is officially in the win column. 

Taking on Commerce in Intercounty League South action, Kaiden James and Garrett Dredge found the end zone on the ground to lift the Redhawks to a 24-6 victory in South Deerfield Friday. 

Dredge ran in a pair of two-point conversions and found James for a two-point try. Jack Phillips ran an onside kick back for a touchdown to round out the scoring for Frontier. 

Ware 21, Greenfield 14 — The Green Wave drove it down to the Ware 30 in the closing minutes but were unable to convert a fourth-and-8, as Ware pulled out an Intercounty League North win Friday in Ware. 

Krish Patel caught a 25-yard touchdown while Angel Politis returned a fumble 50 yards for a score for Greenfield to help make it a 14-14 game at the half. 

Ware scored on its opening drive of the fourth quarter to take the lead.
