High Schools: Henley Gilstrap scores both goals as Greenfield field hockey downs North Brookfield

Henley Gilstrap provided the offense for the Greenfield field hockey team on Friday against North Brookfield.
Gilstrap scored a pair of goals to power the Wave to a 2-0 road win. It’s Greenfield third win in a row.
Riley Thayer and Kyra Tamsin provided the assists while KaydenViencek stopped all seven shots she faced in the victory. Greenfield held a 12-4 corner advantage.
Smith Academy 3, Greenfield 2 — Caleb Thomas scored a pair of goals, but it was the Falcons who scored the game-winner in the 72nd minute to defeat the Wave on Friday in Greenfield.
Jack Laurie and Clivens Carter-Michel each had an assist while Liam Grahame-Lawson made 10 saves for Greenfield.
South Hadley 9, Mahar 0 — Robbie Farrow made 10 saves for the Senators in a loss to the Tigers on Friday.
Sci-Tech 2, Pioneer 1 — The Panthers suffered their first loss of the season on Friday, falling to the CyberCats.
Brody Welcome had the lone tally for Pioneer.

Keefe, Amy VanDoren and Jaelyn Boliski had the assists while Kyler McClelland made two saves in the win.
Gardner 13.5, Athol 10.5 — Dominik St. Andre scored four points, Ethan Heuer and Brandon Adams each had three points while Oliver Johnson scored .5 points as the Bears fell to Gardner Friday.
Chicopee Comp 180, Frontier 188 — Ryan Cetto (42), Brady Wood (47), Christian Powell (49) and Tyler Galenski (50) scored for the Redhawks in a loss to the Colts at Chicopee Country Club Friday.
Frontier 3, Turners 1 — Abigail Hernandez led the way with eight kills in the Redhawks’ 25-11, 21-25, 25-11, 25-15 win over the Thunder in Turners Friday.
Sophia Pinardi (four kills), Olivia Machon (six kills), Bailey Martin (seven kills) and Parrish Stilla (24 assists) played well for Frontier.
Madi Liimatainen (six kills, four digs), Janelle Massey (four kills), Tatianna Carr-Williams (three kills, four digs) and Addie Talbot (five digs) played well for Turners.
PV Christian 3, Franklin Tech 2 — Lily Josephs put down four kills, Skylei LaPan had four aces and one dig while Laura Fuess had one kill and one assist in the Eagles’ loss Friday.
Field hockey
Frontier 7, West Springfield 0 — Seven different Redhawks lit up the scoreboard on Thursday in South Deerfield, as Frontier won its fourth straight with a victory over the Terriers.
Ashlie Galenski, Ashley Taylor, Lauryn Kalinowski, Rowan Reilly, Nora Sloan, Brynna Fahey and Addie Harrington produced the goals while Stella Heflin, Kate Walker, Harrington and Amelia Bouchard had the assists. Brooke Charest stopped three shots in the win.
Girls soccer
Frontier 1, Easthampton 0 — Maddie Fagan scored off an assist from Skyler Steele for what proved to be the game-winner, as the Redhawks earned a key Pioneer League North win in South Deerfield Thursday.
Aylen Shaw made five saves in the victory.
Volleyball
Athol 3, Pioneer 2 — Behind 15 kills, six assists and six aces from Giana Vaillancourt and seven kills, three assists and one ace from Abby Spooner, the Bears pulled out a 25-12 , 18-25, 25-13, 15-25, 15-9 win over the Panthers at Mallet Gymnasium Thursday.
Ella Reed dished six assists to go along with two aces and one kill while Evelyn Robinson put down three kills and four aces while dishing three assists in the win.
Sophia Wood (five aces, two digs, two kills, six assists, two blocks), Jacobia Tyminski (three aces, 15 digs, two kills), Maggie Tsipenyuk (three aces, eight digs) and Kiara Gruzskowski (13 digs, four kills, two blocks) played well for Pioneer.
Athol JV won, 3-0.
