HS Roundup: Frontier girls soccer pulls past Smith Academy, 7-0 (PHOTOS)

The Frontier girls soccer team continues to give opposition defenses fits.
Taking on Smith Academy Monday, five different Redhawks found the back of the net to propel Frontier to a 7-0 victory at Herlihy Park. The win moves the Redhawks to 8-0 on the season.
Maddie Fagan scored twice and dished an assist, Jazzy Hayes finished with a pair of goals, Skyler Steele scored and dished two assists, Josie Fosnot and Carly Robertson each had a goal and an assist while Maggie Nichols and Faythe Sobieski both had an assist in the win. Aylen Shaw stopped all five shots she saw in the shutout.
Greenfield 3, Athol 2 — Elderina Cecunjanin and Tayler Bergeron scored in the second half to give the Green Wave a big Bi-County League win over the Bears in Greenfield Monday.
Cecunjanin tallied in the first half, Zephyr Jetzon and Cecunjanin tallied assists while Annie Cobileanschi made 12 saves for Greenfield.
Hannah Cardoso and Olivia Horrigan scored for Athol, with Ava Adams making 12 saves in the loss.
Franklin Tech 3, Pathfinder 0 — The Eagles scored all three of their goals in the second half to defeat the Pioneers in Thorndike on Monday.
Zoey Duda opened the scoring off 13 minutes into the second half before Mia Marigliano found the back of the net twice to close out the win. Kaelyn Mclean assisted all three goals while Kylee Gamache made three saves in net for Tech.

Frontier 173, Chicopee 234 — Cam Skiffinton was the medalist with a 41 while Ryan Cetto shot a 42 in the Redhawks’ triumph over the Pacers at Chicopee Country Club Monday.
Brady Wood (44) and Porter Hall (46) also scored for Frontier.
Pioneer 171, Easthampton 203 — Brayden Thayer was the medalist with a 39, Cam Curtis shot a 41 while Ethan Mauthe (45) and Chayton Massa (46) scored for the Panthers in a triumph over the Eagles at Holyoke Country Club Monday.
Westfield Tech 165, Mohawk Trail 180 — Phineas Tuttman and Conner Bergeron each carded a 43 in the Warriors’ loss to the Tigers at East Mountain Country Club Monday.
Logan Moore (46) and Douglas Wilcox (48) completed the scoring for Mohawk Trail.
Franklin Tech 3, Mahar 0 — Kenzie Sourdiffe-Phelps tallied twice while Hannah Gilbert added a goal in the Eagles’ victory over the visiting Senators Monday.
Abi Dobias assisted both of Sourdiffe-Phelps’ goals while the Franklin Tech defense didn’t allow a shot on goal. Mahar’s Bella Burnett made 17 saves in the loss.
Frontier 2, East Longmeadow 0 — Ashlie Galenski tallied in the first half and added a second goal in the second half, propelling the Redhawks past the Spartans on Monday in South Deerfield.
Claire Kirkendall and Stella Heflin provided the assists while Kyra Richards made eight saves in the win.
Greenfield 4, Northampton 0 — Henley Gilstrap scored twice while Kenzie Boswell tallied twice and dished an assist in the Green Wave’s triumph over the Blue Devils in Northampton Monday.
Kayden Viencek made two saves while Charlotte Johnson-Mersack made an impressive 24 saves for Northampton.
Greenfield 3, Mahar 2 — Falling behind 2-1, the Green Wave stormed back to win the final two sets and pull out a 22-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-16, 18-16 triumph over the Senators in Orange Monday.
Madelynn Burgess finished with 10 aces and eight assists, Hayden Comeau tallied three kills, one block and one ace, Mia Santana had a pair of aces and kills while Mckenzie Scrinber made four digs to go along with one ace in the loss for Mahar.
Mohawk Trail 3, Pioneer 0 — The Warriors stayed unbeaten with a 25-15, 25-19, 25-10 win over the Panthers in Northfield Monday.
Emmalee Inman finished with seven aces and two kills, Palmer King tallied 10 assists and six kills, Zoe Mojallali put down four kills and made one dig while Adrian Grant recorded three aces, five digs and two kills for Mohawk Trail.
Greta Lewis (eight digs, two kills), Emma Strong (four aces, 10 digs), Sophia Wood (three aces, two digs) and Abbie Ray (two kills, one block) played well for Pioneer.
Amherst 3, Turners 1 — Madi Liimatainen finished with seven kills, five aces and seven digs while Maddie Dietz recorded 13 assists, four digs and four aces in the Thunder’s 25-19, 25-23, 21-25, 25-15 loss to the Hurricanes in Turners Monday.
Janelle Massey added six kills and three aces for Turners.
Field hockey
Frontier 1, St. Mary’s Lynn 1 — The Redhawks tallied in the first quarter but St. Mary’s scored the tying goal in the fourth quarter, leading to a tie in Lynn Saturday.
Macy DeMaio scored off an assist from Stella Heflin while Kyra Richards made two saves for Frontier.
