HS Roundup: Moises Borrayes scores a hat trick as Turners boys soccer beats Southbridge, 8-0

The goals came early and often for the Turners Falls boys soccer team against Southbridge on Monday.
Moises Borrayes led the way with a hat trick, helping the Thunder earn an 8-0 independent victory in Turners.
David Klempner-Siano tallied twice while Yolvin Ovalle-Mejia, Kainen Stevens and Curtis Kretchmar also found the back of the net in the win. Noah Kolodziej, John Ramirez and Klempner had the assists.
Sci-Tech 1, Greenfield 0 — Elisa Tuyubahe scored on a penalty kick in the 10th minute and the Wave were unable to answer, as the CyberCats pulled out a Schmid League win in Springfield Monday.
Caleb Thomas made 12 saves in goal for Greenfield.
Smith Vocational 3, Athol 2 — Cameron Ball scored on a penalty kick in the 78th minute to give the Vikings a victory in Athol Monday.
Seidou and Karim Thompson had the Athol goals, with Seidou providing an assist.
Greenfield 3, Smith Academy 0 — Scoreless at the intermission, Natalia Cody, Elderina Cecunjanin and Tayler Bergeron all found the back of the net in the final 40 minutes for the Wave, who knocked off the Falcons in Greenfield Monday.

Franklin Tech 159, Turners 214 — Gabe Mota was the match medalist with a 37 while Braeden Talbot came in with a 39, lifting the Eagles to a win over the Thunder at Thomas Memorial Monday.
Will Belval (41) and Jack Day (42) also scored for Franklin Tech while Cam Cogswell (46), Liam Kerivan (55), Austin Smarr (56) and Will Tyler (57) scored for Turners.
South Hadley 159, Frontier 163 — Though Redhawk Ryan Cetto was the match medalist with a 36, it was the Tigers who were able to squeak out a win at Cherry Hill on Monday.
Cam Skiffington (38), Porter Hall (41) and Jacob Cornelison (48) also scored for Frontier.
Pioneer 165, Athol 190 — Ethan Mauthe was the match medalist with a 39 while Cam Curtis (41), Brayden Thayer (42) and Ben Werner (43) also scored for the Panthers in a win over the Bears at Northfield Golf Club Monday.
Brandon Allen (46), Owen Stoddard (46), Ethan Heuer (48) and Dom St. Andre (50) scored for Athol.
Mahar 3, Hampden Charter 2 — Madelynn Burgess finished with 12 kills, 11 assists and two kills in the Senators’ 3-2 win over Hampden Charter on Monday.
Hayden Comeau tallied six aces and three kills, Mia Santana put down five kills and one ace while Mckenzie Scribner had two aces and five digs in the victory.
Smith Vocational 3, Franklin Tech 2 — Emma Petersen recorded 11 kills, 13 digs, two assists and two blocks in the Eagles’ 25-21, 20-25, 21-25, 25-17, 15-11 loss to the Vikings on Monday in Northampton.
Kristine Given had one kill and 11 digs, Taylor Underwood finished with four aces and nine digs while Janiylah Wan had seven aces and eight digs for Franklin Tech.
Southwick 4, Mahar 0 — Angelina Bovat scored a hat trick for the Rams in a win over the Senators on Monday.
Bella Burnett made 14 saves for Mahar.
