Investing in our veterans is the mission of the state treasurer’s Veterans’ Bonus Division. During Invest in Veterans Week, we recognize aspiring and established veteran business owners and look to assist all service members in achieving economic security. Our office serves current and former military personnel and their families by providing financial assistance. Service members selflessly give so much for our safety, and we want to ensure that each one of them has a secure financial future.

We distribute bonuses for eligible active duty, discharged, and deceased Massachusetts military personnel who served during various conflicts in single or multiple deployments. In 2023, we processed over 3,600 bonuses and awarded $1.2 million in benefits. Our online platform gets money into the hands of veterans quickly and efficiently. Our commitment goes beyond bonus payments and includes the financial education that our veterans so deserve.

We are excited to announce the latest “Money After Military” series, which are our free social media video segments offering financial tools and resources to veterans transitioning back to civilian life. Veterans, service members, or their families can inquire about bonuses and financial education resources offered by the Veterans’ Bonus Division by following this link: mass.gov/info-details/veterans-bonus-inquiry.
