Feelings about SoulFest

Maybe SoulFest isn’t appropriate fore the small town of Northfield, but not for the reasons one writer lays out in her letter to the editor “SoulFest not appropriate for Northfield,” Recorder, Jan. 5). Her stated concern is the mental health of the town residents. She describes this Christian music festival as, possibly traumatic. She goes on to say, “There are already many residents fearful and angry.”

I find it difficult to believe that this has created a traumatic ongoing experience, as stated. In this letter she speaks about feelings. This letter screams of intolerance. With everything going on in the world, I would think, celebratory Christians would be the least of the writer’s worries. Those are my feelings.
