Climate change. Of course, the Earth’s climate changes. It always has and always will.
Twenty thousand years ago, our beautiful valley was covered in a mile high sheet of ice, the climate changed, the ice melted, and voila!
We are mowing our lawns and children are playing baseball games where the ice sheet covered the land.
Many people in our valley and beyond believe they can and will change the Earth’s climate. Ponder that thought for a minute or two.
To me it is a ridiculous hypothesis. Buy an EV or heat pump and you too can change our climate. Bring your own grocery bags to the store, buy a battery mower, use a titanium water bottle, eat a sprout sandwich or bean burger, doing so will stop the climate from changing.
That is the indoctrination activists are preaching. In addition to nebulous net zero dates.
The Great Salt and Tahoe lakes are now filled to capacity. We didn't get much snow here last winter but the Rockies and Sierra mountain ranges sure did. That is how Earth’s climate works.
Activists believe the climate should be the same year to year, to never change, we will all live happily ever after.

The latest craze in the valley, local activists are pushing on us is VPP, virtual power plants. Yes, someday your coffee maker will provide power to your neighbor’s home. Massachusetts can not run the MBTA trains safely and efficiently. Do you want this state controlling your home appliances? Not me.
According to local activists VPPs are the future. Stop me if you've heard this song before. No worries though, flushing your toilet will power up someone's computer someday.
