Monday, Aug. 19

3:43 p.m. — Caller from Stevens Street reports she was almost scammed out $20,000 and was told she needs to make a police report. Officer advised.

Tuesday, Aug. 20

1:26 p.m. — Caller from Chestnut Street believes she’s being scammed. Caller states the scammers have the last six digits of her Social Security number and she doesn’t know what to do. Officer advised her of her options.

3:14 p.m. — Caller from Fourth Street reports his black and green Mongoose bicycle was stolen a few days ago. Reporting party will come to the Police Station at some point to fill out a report.

5:22 p.m. — Report of lights on and open doors at the back of the stone building at Cabot Camp on East Mineral Road. Officer reports the building is secure and it appears someone has been working in there.

Wednesday, Aug. 21

3:50 p.m. — Reporting party in the area of Cumberland Farms on Montague City Road reports a male party in a vehicle was screaming at two children. Officer located the vehicle. Male driver refused to identify himself, but is an employee of Cumberland Farms. Officer checked on the kids, they are fine. Male was yelling at his kids because they wanted ice cream after going to the dentist. Services rendered.

Thursday, Aug. 22

7:03 p.m. — Report of two males inside the clothing drop-off bins at Aubuchon Hardware on Avenue A, throwing clothes out. Male was moved along.

11:41 p.m. — Caller reports a crash at Poplar Street and Greenfield Road. Reporting party states the vehicle hit a guardrail and the driver appears to be passed out. Involved vehicle described as a Honda Civic. Reporting party attempted to check on the female occupant, who then woke up and started to leave. Vehicle took off, heading toward Hatchery Road via Greenfield Road. Vehicle has side and front end damage. Officer located the car and performed a traffic stop on Turners Falls Road. Vehicle was towed and driver was issued a summons.

Friday, Aug. 23

6:56 am. — Caller from Avenue A reports her bicycle was stolen sometime overnight. Describes the bike as white with purple lettering. Services rendered.

9:03 p.m. — Reporting party from Second Street requests an officer check his apartment to make sure no one is inside. He returned home and there was a light on inside that he does not recall leaving on when he left. Officers checked the residence and found no one inside. Also no sign of forced entry and nothing was reported to be missing.

9:37 p.m. — Reporting party from High Street states someone stole his Harris political sign and replaced it with a Trump sign. Officer advised.

Saturday, Aug. 24

1:33 a.m. — Multiple calls about a motor vehicle rollover on Sunderland Road. One female occupant is out of the vehicle. No smoke or fire reported. Property damage evaluated. Vehicle was towed and driver was issued a summons.

10:55 a.m. — Reporting party from Sunrise Terrace states that a neighbor was shooting at her cat with a BB gun. No answer at the door at this time. A neighbor saw the male party that lives there leave on an E-bike earlier.

12:32 p.m. — Reporting party from Turners Falls Road states the neighbor’s grill emits too much smoke and it bothers her. When she asked him about it, he got very angry and called her names, frightening her. Caller was advised of her options.
