NORTHFIELD — Dickinson Memorial Library will host a Children’s Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Children in kindergarten through sixth grade can come to the library for their holiday shopping. Gifts are 50 cents each. Each child may purchase up to five gifts and have them wrapped. High school volunteers will help the youngest children shop.
Cookies and coffee will be available for adults as they wait.
NORTHFIELD — An artist’s reception for “Mostly New England,” an exhibit by Leni Gaudet that is on display at Dickinson Memorial Library, will be held Friday, Dec. 6, from 10 to 11 a.m. The exhibit is on display through the end of December.
NORTHFIELD — The First Parish Unitarian Church at the corner of Parker Avenue and Main Street will hold a Winter Market on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Winter Market will feature homemade soups and breads for lunch or takeout; vendors with local foods and crafts; and a variety of holiday goodies for sale.
BERNARDSTON — The United Church of Bernardston’s next Second Saturday Roast Beef Supper will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, with seatings at 5 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Suppers will continue on the second Saturday of each month through April 2025.
At a price of $15, each meal includes roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, a roll and dessert. Call 413-648-9306 to reserve your preferred seating time or to reserve take-out meals. The church is located at 58 Church St.

NORTHFIELD — The Northfield Mountain Recreation and Environmental Center will offer a Winter Solstice Headlamp Hike/Snowshoe on Friday, Dec. 20, at 6 p.m.
Hikers will illuminate the dark trails, enjoying quotes and history about the Winter Solstice along the way. Participants will also stop for a campfire.
Attendees should bring a headlamp, dress in layers for hiking in winter weather and expect to hike up to 2 miles with an elevation gain of 300 feet. If Northfield Mountain’s trails are open for skiing, snowshoes are required.
The program is free and snowshoes will be available for a rental fee if needed.
