Families invited to build gingerbread houses

NORTHFIELD — The Recreation Commission invites Northfield families to make their own gingerbread houses in the Northfield Elementary School cafeteria on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

CPA funding proposals due Jan. 15

NORTHFIELD — Applications for Community Preservation Act funding are due at Town Hall by the end of the day on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2025.

Applications can be mailed in, sent by email or dropped off at Town Hall either in the Community Preservation Committee’s mailbox or in the dropbox outside the building’s rear door. The forms are available at Town Hall, Dickinson Memorial Library and on the Community Preservation Committee’s page on the town website.

CPA funding can be used to support open space, recreation, historic preservation or housing projects. With questions about submitting an application or to submit the forms by email, contact northfieldmacpc@gmail.com.

Annual pancake breakfast, toy drive pairing returns Saturday

BERNARDSTON — The Bernardston Kiwanis Club will hold its annual pancake breakfast with Santa at the United Church of Bernardston, 58 Church St., on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 8 to 10:30 a.m.

Meanwhile, members of the Bernardston Police and Fire departments will be outside the church collecting toys for their annual toy drive until 11 a.m. Any new and unwrapped toys, for children of all ages, will be accepted.
