WARWICK — The Warwick Community Homeschool Co-op is hosting a “Share the Love” food drive throughout February, with a special drop-off event planned on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 9 to 11 a.m. on the town common, 12 Athol Road. Both money and nonperishable foods will be accepted.
Anyone who can’t make it to the Feb. 10 collection is welcome to email Amber at ambie783@me.com to arrange a date and time to drop off donations. Monetary donations are also accepted via Venmo.
NORTHFIELD — The winter animal tracking walk with naturalist David Brown, originally planned for Saturday, Feb. 10, has been canceled due to insufficient snow cover.
WARWICK — The Trinitarian Congregational Church Mission Committee and the Wooden Fender concert series will present a pizza dinner and concert/dance with The Mighty King Snakes on Saturday, Feb. 17, at Warwick Town Hall, 12 Athol Road.
Pizza (including gluten-free options) from Pizza Factory in Orange will be served from 6 to 7 p.m. For $12, attendees can get two slices of pizza, salad, a drink and dessert. Alternatively, these items are available individually at a price of $5 per slice of pizza, $2 for salad and $1 for dessert or a drink.
All proceeds from dinner support the mission projects of the Trinitarian Congregational Church of Warwick. Every dollar is donated to local and worldwide charities.
From 7 to 9:30 p.m., The Mighty King Snakes, a band performing Chicago blues music, will take the stage. A minimum $5 donation is requested.
The band’s set will include some of its own originals and hits from the greats such as Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf, along with some tunes from The Rolling Stones and Grateful Dead. Charlie Scott sings lead vocals, Mike Patterson plays guitar, Paul Nadeau plays the keyboard, Ken Edleman joins them on bass and Andrew Murphy plays drums. Band members hail from Athol and Holden, as well as Keene, New Hampshire.

Dean’s list students have attained a grade point average of 3.3 or better out of a possible 4.0 at the end of the semester.
