NORTHFIELD — Learn about green burials, how they are different from conventional burials, and environmental and economical reasons for burial choices during a program led by a local representative from Green Burial Massachusetts at Dickinson Memorial Library on Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
NORTHFIELD — The monthly meal at the Northfield Senior Center, set for Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 12:30 p.m., will include butternut squash soup, pepitas sprinkled on top, banana bread, salad and dessert.
The cost is $7. Reservations are required by calling 413-498-2901, ext. 123, as there is a 25-person limit. RSVP by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
BERNARDSTON — Participants can paint “Welcome” signs on wood with a pair of My Art Company classes at the Bernardston Senior Center on Tuesdays, Nov. 12 and Nov. 19, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Attendees will use templates from real leaves, learn to set up their palette and practice color mixing.
Each class is limited to 10 participants. Artists can bring their own paints and brushes, though most supplies will be available. A $5 fee per class offsets the cost of the program.
BERNARDSTON — The Bernardston Senior Center will host a Thanksgiving lunch on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 11:45 a.m. featuring roast turkey, mashed potatoes and other fixings.

BERNARDSTON — Jennifer Lee will lead a workshop on making Indigenous bark baskets at the Bernardston Senior Center on Monday, Nov. 18, at 10 a.m.
Tree bark is sewn with spruce root and rimmed with arrowwood or red osier dogwood. All baskets are made from a single piece of bark. Bark texture and color sizes may vary as each piece is unique.
The workshop costs $60 and advance registration is required by calling 413-648-5413.
BERNARDSTON — Dusti Dufresne will perform music from the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s at the Bernardston Senior Center, as well as on Zoom, on Monday, Nov. 18, at 3 p.m., followed by the Evening Cafe at 4 p.m.
The meal will include American chop suey, Tuscany vegetables and a dinner roll. A $3.50 donation is suggested.

NORTHFIELD — The Northfield Senior Center will host holiday card making with Barb King on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
The cost is $8 to make two cards or $12 to make three cards. RSVP by Nov. 14 by calling 413-498-2901, ext. 123. There is a six-person limit.
The Travel Club offered by the Bernardston and Northfield senior centers will head to the Hadley Walmart and for lunch on Friday, Nov. 22, at 9 a.m.
Sign-ups are limited to six people from each town. There will be a waitlist in case one town has spaces open up. The cost for the van is $6 roundtrip. Participants will meet at the Bernardston Senior Center. Alternatively, pickup at home is available.

BERNARDSTON — The Bernardston Senior Center will be hosting monthly talks to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution and how Bernardston participated. The next discussion will be held Monday, Nov. 25, at 3 p.m., followed by the Evening Cafe.
The Evening Cafe will serve Chicken Diane, buttered noodles, green beans, wheat bread and chocolate pudding. A $3.50 donation is suggested. Reserve a meal by calling 413-648-5319.

NORTHFIELD — Guitarist and singer Jim Anderson will provide musical entertainment during the Northfield Senior Center’s monthly Memory Cafe on Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
This program provides support and socialization for adults dealing with memory-related issues and their caregivers. A light lunch will be provided.
RSVP by Nov. 20 by calling 413-498-2901, ext. 114. The program is open to residents of all towns but is limited to 20 participants each month.
BERNARDSTON — Seniors who are interested in getting a bucket of sand for winter are encouraged to call the Bernardston Senior Center at 413-648-5413. The center is also seeking a donation of buckets with lids.
BOSTON — Bernardston resident Skyler Cohen was named to the dean’s list at Simmons University for the spring semester.
To qualify for dean’s list status, undergraduate students must obtain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, based on 12 or more credit hours of work in classes using the letter grade system.
