This white squirrel was seen in Old Deerfield recently bounding across the lawn at Memorial Hall Museum. According to Bill Danielson’s recent Speaking of Nature column about animals with almost white features, “The fact that it is mostly white could only be explained by a condition known as leucism, which is similar to albinism.
