GREENFIELD — In celebration of National Family Day on Monday, the Communities That Care Coalition’s PEER Ambassadors packed up meals for families at the Family Resource Center.

National Family Day celebrates simple, everyday things parents can do to connect with their children, and spreads the word about the power of family connection. According to the Communities That Care Coalition, studies have shown that the more often children eat dinner with their families, the less likely they are to report symptoms of depression, develop an eating disorder, or smoke, drink or use drugs. Kids who have regular family dinners are also more likely to do well in school.
