Stage on Main will host a reception for two area artists Saturday afternoon (March 25).
Art lovers will have the chance to meet Ami Fagin and Donna Eaton from 5 to 7 p.m. Admission is free and any refreshments served will be light.
Fagin has been producing original and reproduction fine art since 1985, according to her website. The inspiration for her newest series, “Visual Haiku,” came as a sudden motivation for daily and concise meditations on life. Her work follows three main branches and she has three web galleries reflecting her large body of art. Her original calling was as a manuscript illuminator.
Fagin also does educational work in genocide awareness and prevention in “thinking through art.” Her work can be found at visualhaiku.graphics.
Eaton was raised in Brookfield, Connecticut where her mother had a keen interest that her daughter had art talent, according to her website. Starting in high school, she picked up a watercolor brush and has never dropped it. She studied at the State University of New York at New Paltz, and finished a bachelor’s degree in graphic design at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, Connecticut.
Now living in central Massachusetts, Eaton continues to paint daily and her name has become popular in the area. The areas where she has exhibited are numerous, including at art shows in Gardner and Gill, the Art Center in Jaffrey, New Hampshire, the Rhode Island Watercolor Society and New England Watercolor Society. She has won many awards that stem from New England to the West Coast. More on her work can be found at donnaeatonsdesigns.com.
