TURNERS FALLS — No injuries resulted from a minor fire on the first floor of a multi-family home at 79 Fifth St. on Monday morning.

According to Turners Falls Fire Chief Todd Brunelle, dispatchers received a report of smoke in the building at 8:45 a.m. Crews from five local departments responded and quickly extinguished the fire, which was located in the kitchen on the first floor. An exact cause is under investigation, Brunelle said.
