SHUTESBURY — The town is hosting a pollinator habitat planning workshop on Wednesday, March 6, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., where folks will learn about the importance of pollinators, the habitats they need, and how to enhance and connect pollinator habitats around town.
The event will be held at Town Hall. Results of the workshop will be incorporated into the Shutesbury Pollinator Action Plan, which will also be a part of a Franklin County plan, as the town works with the Franklin Regional Council of Governments.
WHATELY — Watermelon Wednesdays is welcoming Kalos to the stage at Town Hall for the long-running music series’ second show of the season on Wednesday, March 13.
Kalos will headline the show, which begins at 7 p.m., while Natalie Padilla and Yann Falquet will serve as the opening acts. All three artists bring a blend of Celtic, Scottish, Quebecois and New England styles into their music.
Tickets are $27 plus sales tax and can be purchased at watermelonwednesdays.com.
LEVERETT — Mount Toby Concerts continues its music series on Saturday, March 16, with folk artist Tim Grimm, who will be joined by fellow folk artist Nate Borofsky.
A storytelling balladeer in the traditions of John Prine and Bob Dylan, Grimm’s music focuses on community, history, family and social issues, often set in rural landscapes.
The show will be held at 7 p.m. A donation of $20 to $30 is recommended, although folks can pay as they are able. Reserve seats by emailing diacrowe@yahoo.com or calling 413-835-1695.
