Springfield man arrested in Greenfield on drug charges

GREENFIELD — A 40-year-old Springfield man was arrested Saturday morning after an investigation into the presence of narcotics at an Armory Street apartment.
The arrest followed a “lengthy investigation” by the Greenfield Police Department, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page. Assisted by the Franklin County Regional Special Response Team, police executed a search warrant early Saturday morning to investigate the presence of drugs or narcotics at 4 Armory St., Apartment 7.
During the search, Hector Nieves, of 111 Brunswick St. in Springfield, was arrested and charged with possession of Class B drugs with intent to distribute (subsequent offense) and conspiracy to violate drug laws, the post states.
Additionally, Greenfield resident Ashlie Wright, 34, who resides in the apartment, will be summoned to court on the same charges as Nieves.
