SHELBURNE FALLS — Join The Art Garden on Saturday, April 27, from noon to midnight for its 12-hour Hilltown Draw-Around event in the historic Cowell Gymnasium.
Participants of all ages are invited to draw, doodle, color, collage and get creative as part of a huge interactive art installation. Attendees can draw on the floors, draw on the walls, create a collage of flowers, make blackout poetry, color in a giant 3-D coloring book and much more.
Throughout the day there will be opportunities to learn new skills in mini workshops, listen to local musicians, and eat snacks and meals available for sale at the Doodle Cafe. This event is a pay-what-you-can fundraiser benefiting The Art Garden’s Creative Youth programming.
COLRAIN — The Colrain Transfer Station will host a celebration of the Griswold Memorial Library being named one of 15 finalists for the Institute of Museum and Library Services’ National Medal for Library Services on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Library staff will be issuing library cards, loaning materials from the collection and serving cake.
