Bulletin Board: Finals set for Greenfield Tennis Association Doubles League

The finals are set for the Greenfield Tennis Association’s Doubles League. 

Playing the A Division semifinals on Monday at the Highland Clay Courts, Jackie Bagwell and Charlie Huskra beat Steve Pedigree and Yanis Chibani (7-5, 6-3) while Jared Berthiaume and Sam Thomson made it to the finals via walkover. 

The B Division semifinals also took place on Monday, with Ken Hubbard and Jim Welch beating Colin Hamill and Matt Bassett (7-6 (7-5), 6-4) while Josh Michal and Steve Perry knocked off Jim Sexton and Ross Grant (6-2, 6-3). The finals are set for Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Liz Archer (39) and Ann McHugh (40) had the low gross scores in an Aces Wild contest in the Patty Berg Flight of the 9 Hole Women’s League at Country Club of Greenfield Tuesday. 

Linda Lively (39) and Sarah Currie (40) led the Nancy Lopez Flight, Danica Hochstetler (41) and Sandy Ruggeri (50) topped the Joanna Carner Flight, Sally Bernard (42) and Dawn Bete (44) led the Lorena Ochoa Flight, Wanda Pyfrom (50) and Janet Andrews (56) finished atop the Annika Sorenstom Flight while Barb Morris (53) and Bobbee Low (53) tied to win the Michelle Wie Flight.

In a Best 7 Holes contest in the 18 Hole Women’s League at CCG on Tuesday, Chris Eugin, Annie Lasek and Ann McHugh tied to win the Patty Berg Flight with scores of 29. 

Sarah Currie (30) and Lora Gross (32) led the Nancy Lopez Flight, Danica Hochstetler (31) won the Joanna Carner Flight, Sally Bernard (30) and Dianne Wood (32) led the Lorena Ochoa Flight, Wanda Pyfrom (36) and Kim French (40) topped the Annika Sorenstom Flight while Kasey Hebert (38), Brenda Dedinas (39), Barb Morris (39) and Patricia Coffin (39) led the Michelle Wie Flight.
